Lunar Eclipse

Tonight at approximately 7:26 pm, there will be a total lunar eclipse. Be sure to check it out. I don't know how rare those are, but the web site says that the moon will turn a variety of different colors including, but not limited to, blood red. I don't recall ever seeing that, so I'll be outside hoping for clear skies.

Saw it. I didn't notice any blood red (though I didn't watch it the whole time), but I noticed a little orange. It also didn't seem to be quite a total eclipse as the lower southern corner of it seemed to have a sliver of light at the darkest point.

Next eclipse for North America is Dec 2010. It looked a little red/maroon to me last night.

I watched it for about 10 minutes, and it didn't look like a total eclipse to me either. And it looked mostly brown to me.
