Overpaid
8 years, $102 million for Ben Roethlisberger? That is absolutely crazy, what are the Steelers thinking? Other than 1 good season, Big Ben has been an above average QB, but not a consistently pro bowl caliber player. I guess with all the money they saved by letting Alan Faneca go, they can afford to overpay. I think they will be cutting several good players over the next 8 years to pay that salary.

Sweet! We need some guys on defense and O-Line and I think the Steelers will help us out now....
Of course we have to pay one of our CBs $9M/year which kind of hurts as well.

thus the steelers are stuck with the most overpaid / overrated / dumb as a rock qb for the next ten years, or at least until he gets that final moneyshot of a concussion...either way Pittsburgh will be back in last place where they belong.
oh and I agree with you guys. Who does Trufant think he is, Lester Hayes?! Trade him right now. He was and always will be Reggie Williams' bitch. Watch any apple cup tape from that era...
