Voting

Every election there are more stories talking about the decreasing percentage of people who vote. I have come up with a brilliant new idea to get people out to the polls:

First of all, I think negative campaigning has resulted in a lot of ill will among voters. Who wants to support someone when all the candidates seem dishonest or sleazy or worse. This is what led to my revolutionary plan.

Since campaigning is overwhelmingly negative, so should voting. I propose that instead of voting for a candidate, you should have the option of voting against the candidate you dislike the most. If no candidate gives you a good enough reason to vote for them, then you should be able to vote against the candidate who displeases you the most.

This will revolutionize politics as we know it. And I see no down side to this. Anyone who says there is a down side is wrong. And as it looks now, I may well be voting against Hillary Clinton in a little over a year.

Fabulous idea! Americans may not find it in themselves to support someone, but they love to knock someone down!

Like most people who claim to dislike Hillary Clinton, I doubt you actually have a reason for disliking her other than she is the front running Democrat and she is a powerful woman.

If you have thoughts to the contrary I'm all ears.

Hillary is probably best known for her attempt to establish universal health care in the US. Although I think it was a very noble goal, the way she approached the problem and the conclusions on how to implement a universal health care system in the US were just abysmal.

During President Clinton's term of office several scandals came up over what appeared to be money directly changing hands from "business" partners to Hillary directly. My preference is that I don't have to spend any more time hearing from the press about any more activities where money was exchanged for reported favors. Hadn't enough of that crap during Bill's term.

So other than knowing that Hillary voted for the war in Iraq, and was then trying to stop funding with our troops already engaged in cobat (which does not make feel good) what other things has Hillary done that are positive?

Please don't bother responding to Devon, that will only encourage him. And I can tell you from experience that he doesn't have anything worthwhile to say. He doesn't have any opinions of his own, he just exists to antagonize others.
